Founded in 2022 as a way to cement a thriving baseball community in Atherton – and at Sacred Heart Prep – All In Baseball has steadily grown each year to its current state, which boasts five tournament teams and a state-of-the-art baseball complex.
The players, ranging in age from 14 to 18, come mainly from Sacred Heart Prep, says All In President Sean McMillan, who is also the head baseball coach at Sacred Heart Prep.
“When I got the coaching job at Sacred Heart Prep, I was urged to start a program that would keep our kids together throughout the summer,” he said.
Originally, about 80 percent of All In’s players were Sacred Heart student-athletes with a few others coming from nearby programs like Woodside and Carlmont. Today, McMillan attracts players from all over the Peninsula. About half of the 75 players at All In come from programs other than Sacred Heart Prep.

McMillan has a staff of coaches, but takes a hands-on approach to all five teams, which makes it difficult in the summer tournament season because he can’t be at every game. He makes that clear from the outset.
“I can’t love and coach all of you every day,” he says. “I would love to, but I can’t.”
All in Baseball, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, enables today’s youth to go All In on their lives. Through community outreach, on field camps and clinics, mental performance classes and baseball essential skills, All In Baseball believes it prepares its players for success in life.
All In offers camp and clinic scholarships to children from underprivileged backgrounds in the East Palo Alto, East Menlo Park and Redwood City areas.
