Willie Baroncini’s Knights return Jake Belloni, a dual threat capable of throwing hard and providing some pop to the lineup. Belloni struck out 62 batters in 42 innings and added five home runs on offense.
“I’m pretty excited about this season,” Belloni said. “I like the team we have.”
Belloni will be joined in the rotation by Tommy Schultz, Robby Gilbert and Mason Kang.
Sophomore catcher Parker Jessup hit .395 before being injured last season and was still an honorable mention on Bay Division’s all-league team. Infielder Hugo Guzman will make the jump from the junior varsity level.
