Few teams anywhere feature the firepower of the Warriors, who return eight starters, including seven players who have already committed to NCAA-Division I programs.

Pitchers Quinten Marsh and Brock Ketelsen have committed to Stanford, while Rohan Kansa Kasanagottu (USC), Kole Laubach (UC-Santa Barbara), Hunter Fujimoto (Santa Clara), Forest Zelmer (Cal State-Northridge) and catcher Jordan Ortiz (Loyola Marymount) form a strong nucleus for Valley Christian.

Marsh, who will play in the field and pitch at Stanford next year, hit .378 with 34 hits and 23 runs scored. On the mound, he was 9-3 with a 1.14 earned-run average and 88 strikeouts.

Kasanagottu was 6-1 with 1.67 ERA and 78 strikeouts, while Laubach was the WCAL’s Pitcher of the Year last season after going 7-2 with a 0.97 ERA. Meanwhile, Ketelsen struck out 24 batters and just under 12 innings of work.

Sophomore Alex Kim also returns to a team that has great pitching depth.

Newcomers who figure to make an impact include pitcher Colton Hadfield, outfielder Jacob Pauka and infielders Zack Koontz and freshman Alex Moutzouridis.
