Not much new to report at the top of the PeninsulaPrepBaseball.com ranking. Serra remains No. 1, while Saint Francis returned to the No. 2 spot it has occupied most of the year.

It's No. 3 where things are getting interesting. We always raved about Valley Christian's pitching, but worried about their bats since the start of the WCAL season.

We're here to report that the Warriors' hitting woes appear to in the rear-view mirror. Valley has won six of its last seven games and in its current four-game winning streak has scored 30 runs, which nearly equals the number of runs it scored in all other games.

Quinten Marsh is hitting around .500 after collecting three doubles in a win over Riordan. And it looks like Brock Ketelsen is breaking out of his early-season skid after hitting two homers in that same game.

Valley travels to Las Vegas this week for the All Faiths Classic.

Terra Nova now has the Peninsula's longest winning streak this year after Leigh fell on Friday. The Tigers are ranked sixth and travel to Menlo School on Tuesday for a PAL Ocean Division series with huge ramifications.

Hillsdale breaks into the rankings for the first time this season. The Knights (8-4) look to be hitting their stride.

Rank  Team Summary
1. Junipero Serra (15-2) The Padres ran the gauntlet, winning three of four from Valley and St. Ignatius. And they added a nine-run inning in a win over Mitty on Friday.
2. Saint Francis (15-4) Back home at No. 2. We apologize to Lancers Nation for the one-week demotion. The Saint Francis bats came to life this weekend in Carmel with two double-digit power-packed victories.
3. Valley Christian (12-4) The Warriors scored 30 runs this week, signaling the end to their offensive woes. Brock Ketelsen had two homers on Friday. The rest of the WCAL should be taking notice.
4. St. Ignatius Prep (8-5-2) A baaaaaad week for the Wildcats, who didn't score a run after dropping the second game of the Serra series. Followed it up with by being blanked by Bellarmine. Time to regoup in Sacramento.
5. Menlo-Atherton (12-4) This week's series with Capuchino looked more daunting before the Mustangs went on a slide. The Bears are rested and ready for the stretch drive.
6. Terra Nova (11-2-1) The Peninsula's perpetual visiting team -- thanks to some field renovation footdragging -- travels to Menlo School this week for a series that could decide the Ocean.
7. The King's Academy (7-4) The Knights bounced back from their controversial loss on Wednesday by winning two games over the weekend. They haven't yeet hit their stride, but they're getting better. Warning: Ethan Johnson is starting to heat up.
8. Bellarmine (9-8) A 2-0 victory over St. Ignatius shows the Bells can play with anyone. A 5-4 loss to Carlmont the next day indicates Bellarmine continues to search for consistency.
9. Archbishop Mitty (8-8) The Monarchs are saddled with a six-game losing streak as they head to Sacramento. The good news is that Grayson Munoz is back. The bad news is that shortstop Waylon Wyatt remains out.
10. Hillsdale (8-4) The Knights crack the poll for the first time all season, thanks to a 7-2 run since March 7. Jake Belloni is proving to be Hillsdale's best player both on the mound and at the plate.
11. Sequoia (8-6) The only team in this week's poll that has yet to win three games in a row. They came close on Friday, but couldn't seal the deal. Defense matters -- especially in tight games.
12. Sacred Heart Cathedral (8-9) The nut of the Irish schedule hasn't been kind. They've come across good pitching in the WCAL and even better pitching in their out-of-league contests. They have a losing record, but they can compete.
13. Capuchino (10-8) A 1-0 victory over Burlingame on Saturday night at Oracle Park was much needed. No one knows what has gone wrong to derail the Mustangs over the last two weeks. There's time to salvage the season. That time is now.

Creepers: Menlo School (8-7)
